Patty Griffin - Rain

I heard on the radio the other day that Cake is playing at a local liberal arts college. But, unless I crash the show, tickets are not to be had since it's a private show. I was thinking about some of the people I'd love to hear live, and came up with a short list in the car the other night. They were: Cake, Jeremy Fisher, Patty Griffin, and Brandy Carlile. All are folky except Cake. Anyway, when we got home I checked my e-mail and saw a notice from Ticketmaster: Patty Griffin is opening for the Swell Season show we are going to in a few weeks! Serendipity.
