Partay

51 minutes until my staff holiday party. We always do a potluck at someone's house. I happen to be at work right now. This is the last day of my second 6-day work week. I am thrilled! Anyway, a few years ago someone felt that the staff as a whole didn't possess enough interpersonal skills and they decided that we needed party games at the annual bash. It was ok at first but after we did the "feel the object in the paper bag and try to guess what it is" game and then moved on to Christmas carol jumbles, I had enough of it. I hosted the party last year and insisted no games! I'm not sure about tonight, though. I may have to conjure up a migraine. Eastern Promises is due to arrive from Netflix and I am milking all the alone time I can get with L.

It is supposed to rain in the next few days, which is really disappointing. Last night, after dinner and a few beers at the Old Goat we drove down to LL Bean and L got me my Christmas present. Gentlemen:

It will be very sad if most of the snow melts. It will be even scarier if the snow gets iced over. I don't fancy luging on an inner tube. My nephews will be coming next weekend and we had visions of sledding for many hours. We might have to have a plan B.

You don't do a Secret Santa? That's what we do where I work, and I got the BEST gift ever! Dane Cook's Rough Around the Edges CD and DVD. Lobby for a Secret Santa!

No, sadly. I miss doing it. We did the Secret Snowflake thing in college. My friend renamed it the Secret Flake.

I liked Eastern Promises, but I like harsh movies like that. I don't like all of Cronenberg's stuff though.

M-man: I totally agree with you. Cronenberg's movies are so...weird. We started watching the movie and then L fell asleep. he took the library staff party up a notch and had too much to drink! Ha. I liked what I saw so far. We'll maybe finish it tonight.

Sweet tube! I've been looking for one but can't find one. All the stores were sold out of all sleds.
