Girls on film

Suddenly, lots of fantastic movies are coming out. It may be a strategic holiday move, since lots of people head to the cinemas rather than gather with family. I'm feeling the itch myself. I'm not sure of it is my latent voyeurism, or the tasty popcorn at my favorite cinema (or both), but I'm preparing to go see lots of movies. The ones piquing my interest thus far: Gone, Baby Gone, Lars and the Real Girl, Into the Wild, In the Valley of Elah, Reservation Road, and Michael Clayton.

In the words of Quentin Tarantino, "When people ask me if I went to film school I tell them, 'No, I went to films.'"

Gone Baby Gone sounds like a really good movie. I'm not a huge fan of Brad Pitt, but his movie, The Assassination of Jesse James, sounds pretty good.

And yeah, with Manny, it was annoying, but I think he brought a lot of it on himself. Sometimes I prefer it when he doesn't talk to the media.

I don't like Brad Pitt either, along with Tom Cruise.

I saw Tom Cruise in War of the Worlds and it had to go down as one of the worst movies I ever saw.

I totally agree.
