Woulda, shoulda, coulda

I read with interest today that Jimmy Carter had turned down an opportunity to speak about his new book at Brandeis University, since he did not want to take part in a debate with Alan Dershowitz, but simply wanted to speak alone about his book. It makes me curious how the world would have been if Carter was not defeated by Reagan. Alan Dershowitz was also very critical of Robert Shetterly's children's book Americans Who Tell the Truth. Dershowitz claims that Shetterly is somehow trying to brainwash children by creating. . .
. . .a deceptive homage to radicals of the hard left. He glorifies such “great Americans” as Noam Chomsky, Emma Goldman, Howard Zinn, Amy Goodman and Ralph Nader. The irony, of course, is that some of these hard-left radicals have provided justifications for precisely the kind of violence that occurred on 9/11. (FrontPageMagazine.com, July 21, 2005)

Left is right and right is wrong? Is that what Dershowitz is getting at?

I didn't now Dershowitz was such a right-wing advocate. But it's not surprising that a high-priced, high-profile defense attorney has issues with people who, allegedly, tell the truth.
