My favorite Robert Altman film is probably Gosford Park, although the only other film I remember seeing that he directed was Cookie's Fortune. Ensemble films aren't so common. That's why I love Christopher Guest and look forward to For Your Consideration. I am especially happy because they had the intelligence to add Ricky Gervais to the perennial cast. Brilliant!

I thought that was Ricky in the picture I saw of the cast. Cool!
I haven't seen many Altman films, but I'd pick "Short Cuts" as my favorite. It's very disturbing and powerful, and long.
